Project Title

Passive wireless monitoring of Crohn's disease patients to track disease activity and predict flares

Project Description

Flares are probably the most significant ongoing disruption to the quality of life of patients with CD. There is a significant need for data that solely captures the inflammatory behaviors and disease trajectory of CD patients in order to enable better understanding of the disease and its progression. Systems capable of passively identifying early signals of disease will enhance the capacity to intervene and treat patients, provide inflammation enhancing disease management, and reduce the impact of the disease and improve patients' quality of life. In addition, passive monitoring and its accuracy may also be highly predictive of a non-flare and could reduce unnecessary clinical testing.
